Cause for Celebration: Deena Kastor

As part of our Cause for Celebration series presented by @pncbank we are honoring the queen of American distance running Deena Kastor!

Deena’s career is stacked with highlights including an Olympic bronze medal in the 2004 marathon two World Cross Country silver medals in 2002 and 2003 the 2003 Jesse Owens Award and countless national titles. She is a 5 time USA 10,000m champion a 5 time USA 15 km champion a 7 time U.S. 8 km cross country champion and an 8 time NCAA All American. She also claimed the 2001 U.S. marathon title and went on to set the American marathon record at 2:19:36.


From the track to the roads Deena showed the world the power of persistence passion and speed. Today we celebrate one of the greatest distance runners of all time!
