Glen Oak Park Party

It’s no secret that the 2 mile turnaround at the entrance to Glen Oak Park is a focal point of action and excitement! 4 Mile racers begin their return back towards the city and 15K participants embark on the daunting ascent up the hill at this pivotal point in the race.

Elevating the Game

We are turning up the notch at the 2 mile mark of the Boulevard, amplifying the energy and creating a party-like atmosphere you’ll have never witnessed at Steamboat. New this year will be a live DJ pumping the air waves for all racers to hear and fans to enjoy. This section of the race will provide an interactive viewing party for all friends and family on the sidelines. You will have 4 different opportunities to cheer on 15K participants when they need it most as they loop through the hardest, hilliest section of the course.

Race to the 2 Mile

Adding to the excitement, the elite athletes in the USATF 4 Mile Open race will be charging towards the 2 mile turnaround with the hopes of winning extra prize money. The first female and male to the 2 mile mark will earn $1,000 (as long as they still finish in the top 10) or $2,000 if they also win the race (must be registered with USATF and be in the USATF 4 Mile Open Race).

The electricity in the air will be palpable.

You will not want to miss the 2 mile turnaround after the race begins. Afterwards you can keep the party rolling and head back towards the post race party at the finish, where there will be refreshments, more music, vendors, and activities.
