Cause For Celebration: Trischa Zorn
As part of our Cause for Celebration series presented by PNC, we are highlighting athletes with disabilities who have reshaped sport with astonishing achievement and spirit. This week, we celebrate Trischa Zorn, the most decorated Paralympian in history.
Blind from birth, Trischa Zorn competed in seven Paralympic Games from 1980 to 2004 and won a staggering 55 medals, including 41 gold, nine silver, and five bronze, more than any other athlete in Paralympic history.
Her Paralympic career spanned over two decades - a testament to her talent, consistency, and dominance in the pool. Trischa also broke barriers beyond competition, becoming the first visually impaired athlete to earn an NCAA Division I scholarship as a four-time All-American swimmer.
Today we celebrate a trailblazer whose record-setting legacy continues to inspire athletes everywhere.
